Growing up, his homeland of South Africa was still in the midst of apartheid so he followed what some would describe as, a rather unconventional career path. After being conscripted into two years of military national service, he went on a global hitchhike for 1 year, followed by attending university.

From this early experience, John enjoyed what he describes as an early gap year on his hitch-hike. He gained an appreciation for a disciplined attitude and a profound inner strength to know that whatever happened, he would be OK and finally get a top-class education.

What was to follow was an enviable career trajectory with our guest.

Proving to be a natural leader in his field of expertise, from his formative career days in Accenture, to now sitting on the board at leading Financial Services digital transformation consulting firm, Synechron.
